If you have not encountered #TheSteamSix series on this site yet, we pretty much do rundowns of six things that are related to Steam. These include six new games you can find on the platform, six things you have to know about a particular game, and so on and so forth!
For today's #TheSteamSix feature, we shine the spotlight on a newly released action RPG called Steelrising.
1. Steelrising Basic Facts
As previously mentioned, Steelrising is a newly released game. In fact, it was released specifically on September 9, 2022. The game is developed by Spiders and published by Nacon.
Despite being released very recently, it should be noted that, as of press time, the game is not an Early Access release on Steam.
2. Steelrising is set in 1789 in Paris
Yes, you read that right. You will be surrounded by the scenes and scenery of 18th century France when you play Steelrising. And if you paid close attention to your history lessons, the French Revolution began in 1789.
In fact, Louis XVI will play a great role in the story, which will get to just a short while. According to the official website of Spiders, you will also encounter some very familiar names from French history, such as statesman Maximilien Robespierre and the wife of Louis XVI, Marie Antoinette,
3. Your Character is, to Put It Simply, a Robot
As the player, you take on the role of Aegis, who is described by the Spiders website as " a mechanical masterpiece created by the engineer Vaucanson to be the queen's bodyguard." In simpler terms, Aegis is a robot.
Your tasks as Aegis is to actually save the French Revolution. In order to do that, especially since you will go up against a mad king and his mechanical soldiers, there are a variety of weapons and skills that you can use to achieve your goal, according to the Spiders website.

4. You Get to Explore Paris
With the French Revolution happening around you, of course you get to go around Paris and see what's going on as you play Steelrising.
"Using carriages, grapples, secret passages, a detailed map, and other methods and tools you find along the way, explore a city experiencing its darkest days," the game's Steam page says of how you can explore your surroundings as you play.
5. Steelrising System Requirements
According to the official Steelrising website, thre recommended system requirements for the game are as follows:
- Memory: 16 GB RAM
- Operating System: Windows 10
- Storage: 67 Go
- Processor: Intel Core i7-8700 or AMD Ryzen 5 3600X
- Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070 SUPER | NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 Ti, 8 GB
