Lisa Marie Presley Dies at 54: Celebs Take to Social Media to Pay Their Respects

Lisa Marie Presley, the only child of the King of Rock and Roll Elvis Presley and his former wife Priscilla, has passed away at the age of 54. As of press time, no official cause of death has been given, but multiple reports have stated that the singer-songwriter had cardiac arrest.

As the news of her death broke out, multiple celebrities took to social media to pay their respects and share their condolences. Actor John Travolta and singer Pink are just some of those who have shared their thoughts on the passing of Elvis Presley's only child.

Lisa Marie Presley's death has been confirmed by her own mother. According to the report by BBC, a statement made by Priscilla Presley says, "It is with a heavy heart that I must share the devastating news that my beautiful daughter Lisa Marie has left us."

She goes on to further describe her late daughter as "the most passionate, strong and loving woman I have ever known." Her statement does not mention any official cause of death and asks that the family be allowed to grieve in private. 

The BBC report notes that Presley was last seen in public at the Golden Globes Awards where she watched Austin Butler, who played her father in the movie "Elvis," win Best Actor. She and her mother were seen breaking down in tears as the actor won the award. 

Like her father, Lisa Marie Presley launched a singing career and released a total of three albums. She is survived by her mother and three daughters. Her only son, Benjamin Keough, took his own life in 2020.

Celebrities Share Their Condolences on Social Media

Multiple celebrities have taken to social media to share their thoughts and condolences after the news of Lisa Marie Presley's death broke out.

Actress Leah Remini writes on her official Twitter account, "I'm heartbroken over the passing of Lisa Marie Presley."

"Lisa did not have an easy life, as some might think," she adds in her tweet. "May she be at peace, resting with her son and father now."

Actor John Travolta took to his Instagram account to react to the death of Lisa Marie Presley, saying "I'll miss you but I know I'll see you again."
