Amazon Influencers Opens Limited Time Incentive

Amazon has started sending out invites to influencers as the company seeks for video promotions on their products. In a screenshot posted on X, Amazon is looking for informative videos that will feature two or more products within the same category. The videos could be in a form of product review, product comparison, or product ranking.

It was also elaborated that the incentive has a maximum cap of $12,500 which is equivalent to 500 qualified videos. Aside from profit, Amazon packaged the invite as an opportunity for the influencers to have "increased exposure", eventually leading to onsite commission.

Influencers may submit before September 22 should they wish to participate. However, Amazon warned that they might have to close it earlier once we reach the 35,000 submission cap.

Influencers Various Reaction to Amazon's Invitation

While some influencers are up for the challenge, some are having extra thoughts with the amount of payout. Bloomberg's report showed that the average charge for the same video that Amazon is requesting is priced at $200 to $300 per video.

Some influencers also cited that product reviews often takes a lot of time to produce. First, they have to conduct research and try it first. Second, they have to write the script and plan the production. Lastly, they will edit the video aligning it to the trends right now.

Amazon launched its shopping feed, Inspire, last December 2022 as part of its initiative to remain the top spot as an e-commerce platform.
