Apple Vision Pro as Revolutionary Spatial Computer

During the Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) 2023, the Apple Vision Pro was introduced to the public. The device was dubbed a "revolutionary spatial computer" that can seamlessly blend digital content with the physical world.

Unlike the existing mixed-reality headsets, the Vision Pro can be controlled through the user's eyes, hands, and voice. In addition, users can interact with apps by tapping their fingers, flicking their wrist to scroll, typing through the virtual keyboard, or dictating to type.

Powered by visionOS, the device promises new and untapped opportunities. "Apple Vision Pro is the most advanced consumer electronics device ever created. Its revolutionary and magical user interface will redefine how we connect, create, and explore," Apple CEO, Tim Cook, shared.

An all-new App Store will be opened for Vision Pro users which will provide access to more than 1 million compatible apps across iOS and iPadOS. The company also introduced "Environments" which are beautiful landscapes that will help users to focus in busy spaces.

"With Environments, a user's world can grow beyond the dimensions of a physical room, using the Digital Crown to control how present or immersed they are," Apple explained.

As for its display, the Vision Pro offers an ultra-high-resolution display that will allow users to enjoy streaming content on a screen that feels 100 feet wide. The headset also comes with Apple Immersive Video which features 180-degree, 3D 8K recordings with Spatial Audio.

The Vision Pro has a starting price of $3,499 for 256GB of storage. It also comes with a Solo Knit Band and Dual Loop Band, seal cushions, USB-C charge cable, and more.
