Game of Thrones: 8 Most Interesting Characters You’ll Meet in the Series

It's been years since "Game of Thrones" aired its last episode, but people keep coming back to it because of the prequels and potential spin-offs, and it's just the kind of show you can't get tired of. It also doesn't hurt that it's filled with interesting characters, and here are some of them.

1. Bronn

Bronn is just one of those guys you'll either be friends with or hate when you meet him. His personality is refreshing, especially since every in the show seems to be so uptight all the time. While he can be seen as selfish, some would say he's just looking out for himself because no one would, and he is there for his friends when it matters.

2. Tyrion Lannister

Forgetting the fact that he suggested Bran as the best-suited candidate for the throne, Tyrion is the character that can outsmart you just for fun and also use it for the good of those around him. His arrogance is not because of the house he came from, but because of what he achieved despite them looking down on him.

3. Podrick Payne

First serving as a squire to Tyrion, we already love the dynamic he has with him, as well as Bronn. He is loyal to whoever his companion is, whether it's Tyrion or Brienne. Let's not forget the fact that even without experience, Podrick managed to charm the ladies in the brothel, so much so that it impressed and intrigued experienced men like Bronn and Tyrion.

4. Olenna Tyrell

Olenna is the kind of person whose bad side you don't want to get to. Serving as the matriarch to House Tyrell, the lady will go to lengths to protect her family, even killing a king. Her brazen attitude adds so much to her character that you can immediately tell how she survived up to her age in a time when "Game of Thrones" was set.

5. Margaery Tyrell

Her perseverance and wit are admirable, especially since she uses them so well to get what she wants. She can do what most can't, including the manipulation of the psychopath ruler, Joffrey Baratheon. If Cersei Lannister did not end her life, who knows how much power she would've acquired. Her skills with manipulation are unparalleled, which serves well in the game of thrones.

6. Aemon Targaryen

What makes him interesting is that despite his claim to the throne, as well as the luxuries that his family and title bring, he chose to be a down-to-earth maester. Even when he was offered to rule, he instead gave the opportunity to his younger brother and joined the Night's Watch instead. He managed to outlive even the rule of his nephew, "The Mad King."

7. Arya Stark

Arya Stark is one of the most loved characters in the show, and for good reason. Even in the beginning, you can already tell that she won't be satisfied with the simple life of a lady. She wanted to fight like his brothers did, and she eventually gained the skills to be at the level of trained knights like Brienne.

8. Varys

Say what you can about the eunuch, but he was good at resolving conflict, as well as creating them when it was required. Unlike most characters you'll meet, he's only ever interested in what's good for the realm, and will dive into politics and manipulation if that's what it takes to achieve his goals.
