Crunchyroll to Broadcast Series Recap of 'My Hero Academia' Ahead of Season 7 Premiere

Crunchyroll announced that it will start broadcasting a four-part special event that will recap the entire store of "My Hero Academia" as part of its preparation for the upcoming seventh season.

"My Hero Academia: Memories" will start airing on April 6 and will be shown weekly until the release of the upcoming season on May 4.

'My Hero Academia' Fans Receive Special Recap Event

The recap special will be shown on April 6, 13,20, and 27, afterwards, the next week will begin with the new episodes from Season 7. Fans will take a trip back to memory lane on Season 1 when Izuku Midoriya thought he was not special due to his lack of Quirks.

Both events will soon be dubbed in English and other languages. However, Crunchyroll has yet to announce its premiere. For now, fans would have to watch it on the original dub with subtitles.

In addition, the fourth original film "My Hero Academia The Movie: You're Next" is slated to be released on August 2 in Japan. Other specials and movies about the franchise can still be streamed under Crunchyroll's vast collection.

'My Hero Academia' Hypes Fans for Season 7

Kenji Nagasaki, who was the series director, became the chief director for Season 7. He was joined by Naomi Nakayama as director at studio BONES.

Fans of the anime can expect the increasing tension between the heroes and villains. Students and Pro Heroes are already preparing and training to fight the Paranormal Liberation Front. Meanwhile, U.A. High School will discover that among them is a traitor.

Like the previous seasons, the upcoming installment of "My Hero Academia" will feature 25 episodes.
