'Rick and Morty' Season 3 Trailer & News: Interdimensional Cable Storyline Discontinued; Teaser Revealed at 2016 San Diego Comic-Con

The creators Justin Roiland and Dan Harmon of "Rick and Morty" launched the trailer for the third season of the famous science fiction tv series at the recently concluded San Diego Comic-Con. However, they revealed that they are still undecided on continuing the "interdimensional cable" storyline.

In an interview with Slashfilm, Roiland mentioned that they are still indecisive on doing interdimensional cable 3 as it would be a tough production to accomplish. The viewers, who invested emotions, were left hanging for over a year after the exciting finale of "Rick and Morty" Season 2. This spurred the show's writer Ryan Ridley to defend the cliffhanger ending.

"I think that in Season 2, it became clear that Rick needed to suffer some consequences for his actions and behavior. It was kinda nice to see this character who has had all the power in the multiverse - sitting in this prison cell... It's a good way to end a season after all that."

Dan Harmon guaranteed Cinema Blend that the new season will be more creative and more mind-boggling than the previous seasons. Harmon has been recalled to polish the upcoming episodes with a sense of perfection that he shares with the whole team as they do not want to disappoint their fans.

Inquisitr mentioned rumors of the show and its cast flying to Hawaii for the Season 3 production. This is not yet unconfirmed as Adult Swim has not issued any consent with the said plan.

The creators expressed excitement on the upcoming virtual reality game of the popular series as they stated that it promises a mind blowing experience like that of Samsung Gear. "It's really cool, I swear to God it's amazing," stressed Roiland.

The long wait will be over soon. "Rick and Morty" Season 3 is set to be released by the end of the year.
