Pokemon Sun And Moon Update: New Trailer Features Alola Forms, Island Challenge And Other Pokemons

A new set of Pokemon games are expected to make a huge trend this year -- Pokemon Sun and Moon. Now, a new trailer has been released, revealing what seems to be the titles' upcoming features. The video features the so-called Alola Forms and 6 brand new creatures, among others. Here is what it is all about.

According to IGN, the said Pokemon Sun and Moon trailer showcases the Pokemon's Alola forms. It is basically the sub species of all existing creatures found in Alola. Vulpix, Sandshrew, Ninetails and even Sandslash have their own ice-type versions. Heck, even Exeggutor is turned into a hybrid Pokemon.

Aside from the aforementioned, the video also revealed 6 brand new Pokemon Sun and Moon species. It includes Mudbray and Gumshoos, both of which are part of an evolution chain for the recently revealed Mudsdale and Yungoos. More so, Oricorio -- the dancing bird -- made it to the list. The latter is the kind of Pokemon that changes its style depending on the type of Alolan island it is situated.

In its most organic form, the new Pokemon Sun and Moon focuses on the titles' major islands. It also unveiled the highly talked about Island Challenge, which is deemed as the main quest in the game. It is where players are sent to complete various trails, each of which are particularly based on the island's specific theme.

GameSpot, on the other hand, reports that Exeguttor has a new form, as evidently featured in the Pokemon Sun and Moon trailer. The specie now has a neck akin to that of a giraffe, something that is completely far from its previous coconut-ish looking form.

The video goes on to showcase other new Pokemon Sun and Moon species. Minior, in particular, is somewhat a floating rock that has the ability to shed its outer shell. Furthermore, two grass types Pokemons have been included -- namely, Fomantis and Lurantis. The latter is believed to arrive with a new move called Solar Blade.
