2016 MacBook Pro Can't Hold A Candle To The Microsoft Surface Pro 5

In the notebook segment of the tech industry, Microsoft is climbing the ranks with its line of Surface Pro hybrid devices. The 4th generation has been making waves, making the public only more excited for the upcoming Surface Pro 5. On the other hand, there is also a lot of buzz on the upcoming 2016 MacBook Pro.

Thus far, however, the estimates on the Surface Pro 5 seem to outweigh that of the 2016 MacBook Pro. For instance, PC Advisor confirms that the Surface Pro 5 is coming with the latest Intel core processor. This could mean either the sixth generation of the Skylake chip, or the following one, which is called the Kaby Lake Processor.

The hybrid device will also come with 16GB of RAM, as well as an option for either a 2K or 4K display. Further, Microsoft is adding a USB Type-C port for the Surface Pro 5. This Type C port will make things a lot easier for the user as it doubles as a connector and a charging port.

Of course, the Surface Pro 5 will also come with improvements from its predecessor. Particularly, it is expected to have updates in the camera, Wi-Fi support and Bluetooth capabilities. What is more important, however, is the Surface Pen's update.

The Surface Pen, which has been a staple in the Surface Pro line, is getting a more efficient makeover. With the Surface Pro 5, the stylus is expected to be magnetically charged when attached to the device, thereby eliminating the need for AAAA battery purchases.

Meanwhile, The Next Web notes that there have been some pretty spectacular rumors on the 2016 MacBook Pro - others that are definitely too good to be true. These speculations include a thinner and lighter body than the MacBook Air, as well as a USB Type-C port, an OLED touch pad, the seventh-generation Kaby Lake Processor, as well as the switch from the 3.5mm audio jack to a lightning port.

The publication goes on to claim that Apple will be making only simple changes to the 2016 MacBook Pro. Those include the adoption of a butterfly keyboard, USB Type-C ports and the Kaby Lake processor.
