How To Evolve Magikarp Into Gyarados On Pokemon GO: It's Not Easy But Totally Worth It

In Pokemon GO, anything can happen -- even the most unexpected ones. If people think that turning Magikarp into a Gyarados is impossible (let alone a silly thing to do), actually, it is not. A group of trainers, in one way or another, was able to do it (or perhaps on their way to doing it). Most certainly, they have turned a useless Pokemon to an extremely lethal one.

According to Kotaku, most Pokemon GO players tend to neglect Magikarp in their adventures. One of the primary reasons is the fact that this Pokemon is close to being inadequate in battles. It almost has no moves nor specialties.

Apart from that, Magikarp has very high Pokemon GO evolution requirements. In a sense, it requires 400 candies. And in the game, other monsters do not require such. So far, as reports suggest, the closest one to it is just 100 -- and take note, the figure is only for the third evolution. It is safe to say that the said creature is the hardest one to evolve.

Moreover, Magikarp is quite difficult to catch in Pokemon GO. It does not spawn in areas packed with people (or trainers). The most satisfying thing, though, is that it no longer needs any training of sorts. The items already (candies in particular) does the job.

ComicBook, on the other hand, reports that there is actually a group of Pokemon GO trainers who were able to evolve Magikarp. And what is so interesting about it? It became Gyarados (as mentioned above), a fierce creature that everyone playing the game wants to acquire.

Again, the goal is to reach 400 Pokemon GO candies. The cool thing about this challenge is that players find it fun. That despite the rigorous task, it is all worth the wait. Well, check out some of their posts below!

To anyone out there who is able to evolve Magikarp into Gyarados, you're the real MVP in Pokemon GO. Come on! Share your adventures. You will never know -- you are the hero we have all been waiting for!
