'Girl Meets World' Season 4 Renewal: Disney Star Rowan Blanchard Hopeful For New Season

Disney Channel's "Girl Meets World" has been one of the most highly anticipated series by the young teens these days which would definitely explain their strong determination to have the series renewed for the fourth season.

"Girl Meets World" Season 4 Renewal Still Unsure; Disney Channel Remains Quiet About It

The fans of the famous Disney Channel series "Girl Meets World" have been doing everything in their power to ensure that the series be renewed for season four, even though it wouldn't be aired on Disney anymore. It is no secret that the storyline of the series has to be more mature since the characters are already graduating from highschool. Thus, a new storyline may not be fit for the original network and its audience.

In line with this, they created an online petition to have the series renewed in Freeform, which also airs its prequel, "Boy Meets World." The petition has earned their target number of signatures and has now been closed. However, there are still no official reports in effect of their efforts to renew "Girl Meets World" for the fourth season.

Rowan Blanchard Joins The Fans In Hoping For Renewal Of "Girl Meets World"

The fans have the support of the characters of the series, as star Rowan Blanchard who plays Riley in the show is still also very hopeful for the renewal. She believes that their story is important to tell and they would like to be given the opportunity to tell this to the world, even if it means transferring the show to a new network.

The actress also talks about the love triangle that has existed between her character as Riley, Maya and Lucas. Even though the show gives highlight to the romantic aspect, she believes it tells more about the strong foundation of friendship between Riley and Maya.

Season three of "Girl Meets World" has already finished production months ago but there are still episodes to be aired until early 2017. The finale will show a reunion between their cast members and the "Boy Meets World."
