Pokemon GO Update: This Realistic Trailer For Pokemon GO Would Not Have Caused Unnecessary Hype

When Nintendo first teased Pokemon GO in an epic trailer that showed 3D visuals of our favorite Pokemon running around everywhere, our initial expectations for the Augmented Reality Game skyrocketed through the roof.

We didn't know that most of the game would be left to our imagination, however, and that the gameplay for Pokemon GO is far from the initial theories of Pokemon fans due to a false and quite misleading trailer. When Pokemon GO was released, Niantic featured a more realistic trailer with it showing how the game should be played - a trailer which they should've gone to the initial announcement with.

Pokemon GO Realistic Trailer Remake

Fans are not satisfied, however, and released a remake of the said trailer. The trailer that showed people on their bikes, running around, trying to find and catch Pokemon, battling each other through Gyms while a very upbeat music plays in the background - as they try to show they're having fun by grinning wildly at their phones - yes, that trailer gets another more realistic version. Fans have slightly tweaked it to become a funny, highly relatable parody trailer that makes every Pokemon GO trainer who watches it nod their heads in unison.

YouTuber Lucky Crit edited the trailer to show the several issues Niantic has with Pokemon GO. Pokestops for example, greeted players with the "Try again later" error message instead of its usual bubbly goodies. Granted, some of these issues have been fixed, but Niantic still faces crossed Trainers everyday for several bugs and issues that are not included in the remade trailer.

Pokemon GO Realistic Trailer Gets More Dose Of Realism

Niantic's "augmented reality game" had its unfair share of criticism, possibly due to the fact that the first trailer for the game had fans of the Pokemon franchise cling to high hopes. Despite me not being a fan of the franchise, I felt the hype and excitement emanating from my peers, and thus it got contagious in a flash. "How are they going to incorporate Pokemon in the real world?"

Turns out they're not. Fans have voiced out that the initial trailer is very misleading, so Niantic released a more realistic trailer for Pokemon GO showcasing its gameplay. If they had released this trailer to announce the game, fans would have had lower expectations, and thus wouldn't have caused the initial unnecessary hype.
