Ever since it has been reported that "Rick and Morty" season three will be released this December, fans of the animated series are already contemplating the exact airdate of the season premiere. There have also been spoilers about the season's upcoming storyline.

2016 Getting Near Its End Means "Rick And Morty" Season 3 Will Be Released Soon Before The Year Ends

Neither the network Adult Swim of creator of the series Dan Harmon has confirmed the December release date. However, this has been speculated based on the timeline that was presented by the production. Also, as history serves it, the first season of "Rick and Morty" was also aired on December, hence the speculations that the third season will do as well. The fans have strongly pushed the December release date, which might actually just happen.

Even though it hasn't been confirmed yet that "Rick and Morty" season 3 will be released on December, it can be recalled that Dan Harmon previously said the upcoming season will air late this year. Thus, the speculated release date just makes the most sense of it all. They have also admitted months ago that the script for the third season has already been finished, and it won't be long to have the production started.

"Rick And Morty" Season 3 To have 14 Episodes; Krombopulos Michael Returns?

It has also been confirmed that "Rick and Morty" season three will be airing a total of 14 episodes, which is more compared to the previous seasons. As for the upcoming storyline, there have been many speculations going on around it given the few teasers that have been released to the fans. Nevertheless, it will reportedly have a darker storyline this season and would focus on more characters as well, not just Rick and Morty.

It can be recalled that during the second season finale, Rick was sent to prison. It has been speculated too that he will be able to escape prison, with the help of Krombopulos Michael, who has been presumed dead already in earlier episodes. The truth to this shall be revealed very soon, as the release date of the series has come closer.

If reports are right, "Rick and Morty" season three will air on December 2, 2016.
