However, it has recently been revealed that Zayn Malik hasn't been happy with coming from an ordinary teenage boy who auditioned for a singing competition to being one of the members of what is considered to be one of the greatest boy bands in this generation. The abrupt change was too much for the teenage boy, until he came to a point that he couldn't take it anymore.

Zayn revealed that if anyone would have told him to about doing more research about what he was to embark on and preparing himself even more, he would not have signed for being a part of "One Direction." According to him, he was a young and reckless teenager who had no idea of the bigger picture as he was about to enter the world of show business. Had he known that this was going to be the life that he was going to live, being pressured and hectic schedules all around, he would have waited a couple more years.

The fame became too much for him, belonging to a group to which he had no control over. Thus, he decided to do a solo career which would give him more hold on the situation, meaning lesser tours since he is not yet mentally ready for such a thing.

Zayn's Alleged Statement Upon Exiting "One Direction" Appeared To Have Been False And Made Up By Management

Upon Zayn's exit from "One Direction," a statement was released allegedly made by him, saying that he left because he wanted to live the life of a normal 22-year-old boy and that he would greatly miss the group. However, he revealed that there was no way he made that statement. The management made it up since he did not open up about it to the fans, and it was something to give them closure to Zayn leaving.
