Overwatch Sombra PTR Update Character Too Powerful; Nerf Underway?

Overwatch players will get to use Sombra in the Public Test Realm (PTR) a few days from now. A Pro player however, thinks the 23rd character is simply too strong and believes that some of Sombra's ability should be nerfed.

Overwatch Pro Player's View On Sombra

Overwatch Team Sweden member André Daahlström aka "iddqd" played Sombra for almost an hour. He was immediately interviewed after the playtest to find out his opinion about the computer hacker, according to some Reddit users. The Pro player said that Sombra is way too powerful compared to the other heroes in Overwatch. Sombra's invisibility may be an unfair advantage but without it, she will trouble competing with her DPS counterparts, according to iddqd.

Who is Sombra And What Are Her Abilities?

The latest Overwatch character is an Offense hero and armed with an automatic machine pistol for short-range attacks. Sombra's hacking abilities though is deadlier, enabling her to stop other heroes from using their abilities albeit temporarily, or render first aid kits unusable to the enemy.

Her thermoptic camo can render invisible and also makes her faster for a few seconds. However, once she attacks, use any of her offensive abilities or takes damages will disrupt her camo mode. Sombra can also jump from one location to the other using the Translocator beacon. But her ultimate ability is the scariest. Sombra's Electro Magnetic Pulse (EMP) charge covers a wide area that disables enemy shield and hacks their abilities. The hacker's team mates can then swoop in and wipe out the enemies caught by EMP blast.

Sombra Hard Counter For Zarya And Other Tanks?

Some Overwatch players believed that Sombra can be hard counter to Zarya and other tanks. For example, her hacking abilities can prevent Zarya from using her barrier shield. However, Sombra is also seen as high skill hero, which means players using her would need to time her abilities wisely in order to get the desired effect.
