2017 Suzuki Solio And Suzuki Bandit: Newest Hybrid Cars In The Market

Suzuki Motor Corporation recently released their newest full hybrid vehicles, the 2017 Suzuki Solio and the Suzuki Bandit. Both cars have hybrid engines that use both petrol and an electric motor. The two cars offer fuel mileage that is far better than most, if not all, tall multi-purpose vehicles or MPV in the market today.

Both The Solio And Bandit Can Run Just On Batteries

Unlike other hybrids, the 2017 Suzuki Solio is capable of running with both the petrol and the electric motor or just through its batteries. It can run on electricity for about three minutes and can reach speeds of 40 kilometers per hour. The Solio compact vehicle can go as far as two kilometers just by using its lithium-ion battery when fully charged. On petrol, the 2017 Suzuki Solio gets a fuel economy rating of 32 kilometers per liter, which is better than the current models rating of only 27.8 kilometers per liter.

Difference In Exterior Style

The second vehicle, the Suzuki Bandit, has the same powertrain and hybrid options but comes in a sportier looking exterior. Unfortunately, there are no all wheel drive options for both the Solio and the Bandit and will have power transmitted only to the front wheels. Both cars still have the same 1.2liter Dualjet petrol engine that is capable of hitting around 90horse power and 118 Newton meters of torque. A CVT version is no longer available and has been replaced with a five-speed AGS/AMT or semi-automatic gearbox.

The interior of both the 2017 Suzuki Solio and the Suzuki Bandit is still identical to the units that are currently being sold. The measurements for both vehicles are 3,710 mm long, 1.625 wide, and 1,745 mm high. The cars sit on a lightweight platform equipped with a TECT structure. The Suzuki Bandit differs in style with its LED headlamps and LED daytime running lights, clear lens taillights and aero bumper.
