Overwatch Developer Update: Year In Review Plus Highlights Plans For Next Year

The Winter Wonderland season event for Overwatch that was made by Blizzard is being enjoyed by fans, as well as their special loot box gifts that came along with it. Jeff Kaplan, game director shared another Developer Update video, before going on a holiday break for Christmas and New Year's Day. The title of the video is Year in Review, and he took this chance to shortly look back on the past, present, and future of Overwatch.

At the start of the video, Jeff takes a look about how Blizzard was since the launching of Overwatch. Player feedback from both Season 1 and Season 2 were the primary bases for the changes that were made for Overwatch since each season changes were also considered for the development of the latest Season 3 of the game.

The launching of Ana and Sombra was also fun since it encouraged the balance. The Arcade Mode had also introduced new maps, new Brawls, and the well-received Seasonal Events that continue to grow better, as reported by PVP Live.

Jeff did not greatly emphasized the present state of Overwatch in his video as compared to the past and future of the game, however he discussed a few lessons that they learned from the current Overwatch game. As an example, Jeff discussed about how Ana was revamped after launching her, and she will also be receiving some nerfs. It is a process that has made Blizzard to be patient about the launching of Sombra, including more changes in the future, according to Game Rant.

He also made meaningful comments about how successful the Season 3 and Winter Wonderland events are, and about how these events are better than the previous Seasons and events were. Jeff most importantly took the opportunity to thank all of the players for their contribution to the success of Overwatch. He gave his words of gratefulness in behalf of the director himself and the entire Blizzard Overwatch team.
