Why The 'PlayStation 4 Pro' Is Still Better Than ' Xbox Scorpio'

By the end of 2017, the video game landscape will be looking pretty different than what it does today. For one thing, Microsoft will have the most powerful gaming console on the market, the Xbox Scorpio, which is slated for release by the end of 2017. On the other end, Sony's top-end product will be the PlayStation 4 Pro, which is more powerful than any standard PS4, but significantly less powerful than the Scorpio.

So we're looking at Xbox One Scorpio and the PlayStation 4 Pro. By power alone, Microsoft certainly has the advantage. But that doesn't mean the Xbox One Scorpio is already destined to come out on top, and here's why

The downside of both consoles

The Xbox Scorpio and PlayStation 4 Plus are both designed to take advantage of cutting-edge technologies that most people's TVs don't even support. Unless you already have a new 4K resolution TV that supports HDR, you are not going to get the full benefits of these consoles.

With that being said, here are some reasons why the PS4 Pro is still better than the Xbox Scorpio, and we are looking at two things:

Exclusives

While both Xbox Scorpio and PlayStation 4 Pro come with some great exclusive games, the PlayStation lineup is a lot more varied. PlayStation 4 exclusives range from different genres like the action-adventure escapades of Uncharted 4, the ultra-challenging melee of Bloodborne, to the cartoonish mayhem of Ratchet & Clank. The Scorpio currently has a handful of exclusives compared to what the PS4 Pro can offer.

Price

Since the PlayStation 4 Pro is less powerful than the Xbox Scorpio, it is definitely going to cost much less. The PS4 Pro is currently priced at $400. The Xbox One Scorpio on the other end won't exactly be an impulse purchase. It's definitely a high-end piece of technology, so there will definitely be no surprise that it will be priced at about $500 to even shooting up to $600.
