Samsung Galaxy S8 Leaked Video Ad

The anticipated launch of the Samsung Galaxy S8 is at the MWC 2017 event that will be held on February 27 to March 2. Before the date has come, a leaked video ad already revealed the good features of the upcoming smartphone. Samsung had done a good job keeping its new flagship smartphone secret, not until today that a video was exposed.

According to the International Busines Times, Samsung Display has shown off an unnamed smartphone in a video ad. The promotional video boasts the latest super AMOLED screen technology with a high screen-to-body ratio. The smartphone device's front-panel is covered by display up to its tilt on both the top and bottom. Also, there is no dedicated space for a physical button even a small area.

So far, there is no official announcement yet coming from Samsung regarding their smartphone flagship. There are also no official comments on the leaked video ad, but it is widely reported that the phone shown in the clip might be the generic Galaxy S8 model to be released this year.

What We Know So Far On Samsung Galaxy S8

As per rumors and speculations, Samsung is expected to launch both the Galaxy S8 and the S8 edge this year. The key difference between the 2 smartphones is that the latter will boasts of a bigger 5.7-inch dual-edge curved screen and the former will have a 5.1-inch flat display panel.

The generic model might come with a standard QHD (2560x1440p) screen for the Samsung Galaxy S8, whereas the Galaxy S8 edge will have 4K Ultra HD (3840x2160p) display. Both smartphone devices are likely to have an advanced super AMOLED integrated with a feature of a fingerprint sensor to enrich more the mobile Virtual Reality compatible video viewing experience of the users.

MobileFun, which showed off the iPhone 7 before its release very accurately, has the most striking shots of the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S8 as its readers are only marginally obscured by its clear case.

The leaked renders tie in with increasingly consistent talk of the slimmer bezels and removal of the home button on the device itself, a repositioned flash as well as a heart rate sensor just above the camera. It also shows in the render that Samsung has finally moved the Galaxy S series to a USB Type-C and retained the headphone jack.

Aside from that, the Samsung Galaxy S8 is also expected to come with an Artificial Intelligence (AI) named as Bixby, the digital assistant which is created by Viv Labs- founded by Apple Siri-creators. The unit is also expected to have an iris scanner on the front, dual cameras (12MP+13MP) placed in parallel positions on the back and 6GB that can be expanded to 8GB RAM.
