Samsung Galaxy S8 Update, Leaked Features And Release Date

There have been a lot of unconfirmed rumors and speculations about the Samsung Galaxy S8’s specs and features, but the company chooses to remain silent while secretly working on its next flagship smartphone. This Thursday, an updated leak surfaced online and it is claiming that Samsung Electronics will not be following in the footsteps of its biggest rival, Apple.

Samsung Galaxy S8 Update And Leaked Features

A new leak is all over the online this Thursday and it is claiming that Samsung Galaxy S8 will not follow the footsteps of Apple, Samsung's biggest rival. The new leak for the Galaxy S8 refers to the renders of what seems to be a protective case for Samsung's next flagship smartphone. According to TechRadar, previous reports, and speculations have claimed that Samsung Galaxy S8 is going to ditch the headphone jack after Apple removed the feature from its iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus models.

There is still a big possibility that Samsung may have really removed the headphone jack from its flagship smartphone Samsung Galaxy S8. After all, there is still no official confirmation from the company itself that the leaked renders indeed belonged to the upcoming Galaxy S8 accessory.

Apart from the rumors on the headphone jack, another physical feature that will not be present on the Samsung Galaxy S8 is the home button. Since rumors about the Galaxy S8 began just last year, several sources have come out to say that the smartphone is going to have a dual-edged all-glass front sans the physical home key. Without the home button, that will make the fingerprint scanner to be embedded into the glass display, according to PocketNow.

Samsung Galaxy S8 Release Date

As reported by BGR, if Samsung's renders are accurate, the most awaited Galaxy S8 is shaping up to be a really gorgeous smartphone. The screen-to-bezel ratio looks very impressive and it appears as though only one side of the smartphone will have any buttons on it.

On the other hand, several physical features of the Samsung Galaxy S8 have not been included in these renders, possibly because they have not impact on the Ghostek case’s transparent design. Samsung is expected to unveil 2 new Galaxy S8 smartphones during a press conference in either February or March, leading of a released sometime in April.
