After waiting for months, Android users will finally get to experience the brand new Super Mario game entitled Super Mario Run. As previously reported, the latest entry from the iconic franchise was first made available to iOS devices with no clear date as to when the Android version will be released. However, Nintendo recently broke the silence as they have announced via their official Japanese Twitter account the release date of Super Mario Run Android version.

According to the report from The BitBag, the game is expected to arrive this coming March. As remembered previously, Nintendo has made a link available for players to link their Google Play Store allowing them to pre-register and receive news and updates about the game.

For those who are unitiated, Super Mario Run is the latest entry from the classic franchise which is currently available on iOs mobile phones. The said game will also be featured on Nintendo's upcoming console called Nintendo Switch. The gameplay involves tapping the screen for Mario to jump over the obstacles or beat some of the series' classic foes.

Meanwhile, Shigeru Miyomoto, creator of Super Mario, talked about his efforts regarding the development of the stages and making sure that players will be comfortable playing with only one hand. As reported, Super Mario Run offers its first three stages for free while unlocking the remaining levels costs them $10. Players will be receiving an amount of 20 levels including several bonuses if they choose to buy the game.

On the other hand, the game's reveal caused a great havoc to the mobile world as it has been downloaded for over 40 million times as to date. In addition, the app generated $14 Million revenue during its first three days making it the highest grossing app title. Though Super Mario Run failed to retain the top spot, the number of downloads is still increasing. Overall, the game received a fair amount of criticisms as it is an internet-dependent game. Super Mario Run is now available on iOS while the Android version will be released sometime in March 2017.
