Super Bowl LI Checklist, What To Expect: Movie Trailers, Halftime Shows, And NFL Teams To Root For

The Super Bowl LI is just around the corner and there are so many things to look forward to aside from the anticipated playoffs. Just like the previous Super Bowl events, tons of new things will be revealed such as movie trailers and commercial television ads, though some have already been released for short previews. And of course, there’s the halftime show that will probably take a lot of time in this annual event.

The Super Bowl is the annual event that determines the champion among the teams in the National Football League (NFL). It is a huge celebrated event and this year’s Super Bowl is the 51st Super Bowl, hence the name, and the 47th modern-era NFL championship game. Super Bowl LI, otherwise referred to as Super Bowl 51 or Super Bowl 2017, will be held at the NRG Stadium in Houston, Texas this Sunday, Feb. 5.

Though the event will be attended by millions, Super Bowl LI will also be televised live and it will be broadcasted live on Fox, BBC One, and Sky Sports 1. This year’s playoffs will have New England Patriots go against the Atlanta Falcons. Both teams are being supported by many fans but many have their bets on the crowd’s favorite, New England Patriots because they have already won the Van Lombardi trophy four times already while the underdogs, Atlanta Falcons, has yet to get one.

The anticipated halftime show will be graced by popular singer, Lady Gaga, who also announced that she will be joined by jazz singer, Tony Bennett. Country music singer, Luke Bryan will lead the national anthem. Former U.S. President George H. W. Bush along with his first lady will do the coin toss during the ceremonies.

While many Super Bowl LI short movie trailers have already been released for sneak peeks, many entertainment studios are expected to debut new trailers and announce new movies in the said event. Fans are anticipating Disney to release new trailers for “Guardian of the Galaxy Vol. 2” and “Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales”. Sony is expected to give more footage on “Spider-Man: Homecoming” and especially “The Dark Tower”. Paramount Pictures are expected to release the new full trailers of “Transformers: The Last Knight” and “Baywatch”.
