Android Wear 2.0 Release Date Gets A Day Closer, Now Moved To Feb. 8

The certified tipster, Evan Blass, unveiled that Google moved the launch of Android Wear 2.0 a day closer. The next generation of Google’s Watch OS and LG's Watch Sport and Watch Style will be released on Feb. 8.

According to 9 to 5 Google, the technology giant has moved up its timeframe and the final build of Android Wear 2.0 and LG's brand new smartwatches will be released a day ahead of the previously leaked date. The second series will be showcased in May 2017 at Google I/O.

The Wearable Platform Lists

The smartwatches with Android Wear 2.0 on board to be showcased are LG Watch Sport and LG Watch Style, while LG Watch Urbane 2nd Edition LTE, LG Watch Urbane and LG G Watch R, Moto 360 Gen 2 and Moto 360 Sport will all receive a system update.

The following smartwatches that will also be updated are Polar M600, Casio Smart Outdoor Watch, Fossil Q Wander, Fossil Q Marshal and Fossil Q Founder. To add on the lists are Nixon Mission, Tag Heuer Connected, Huawei Watch and Huawei Watch Ladies.

The prominent watches to complete the lists are Michael Kors Access Bradshaw Smartwatch and Michael Kors Access Dylan Smartwatch. Asus will also update its ZenWatch 2 and Asus ZenWatch 3, as listed on the Decan Chronicle.

The Most Anticipated LG's Watch Sport And Watch Style

LG will introduce the first wearable running Android Wear 2.0, which are designed in Nexus-style collaboration with Google. Both watches offer Google Assistant and feature a digital crown for navigation, which is similar to Apple Watch.

The Watch Style has a high-end looking, but it does also feature NFC and LTE connectivity compared to Watch Sport. The Watch Sport will allegedly go on sale for $350 and the Watch Style will be $250. It has been previously confirmed that both with have IP68 and IP67 certifications.
