LG Watch Sport Price Set At $349, Style At $249
Google has recently collaborated, in a Nexus-style partnership, with LG to launch the LG Watch Sport and LG Watch Style, which will be showcased on Feb. 9 along with the updated Android Wear 2.0. As previously reported, the smartwatches will come in Silver and Rose Gold.
The LG Watch Sport And Style Prices
Today, the smartwatches have a price tag. The LG Watch Style will be priced at $249 while the LG Watch Sport will have an MSRP of $349. The Sport version It will be a hundred more expensive than the Watch Style because the smartwatch brings a bigger and more pixel-dense display. According to 9 to 5 Google, the two extra buttons and a Watch Digital Crown will bring a higher value to the smartwatch.
The First Smartwatch To Support Android Pay
As per Gadgets 360, it also comes with Android Pay, which is a digital wallet program. The Android Pay uses Near Field Communication (NFC) to transfer funds the LG Watch Sport and Style will be the first smartwatches to support Android Pay.
LG Watch Sport vs LG Watch Style
In comparison, the Watch Sport comes with a lot of features that Watch Style does not have. Watch Sport has 3G and LTE for true standalone functionality and GPS. It also comes with a heart-rate monitor, a bigger 1.38-inch 480x480 AMOLED screen and a twisting digital crown navigation.
The Watch Sport measures at 14.5 mm while the Watch Style is at 10.8 mm. The smartwatch also comes with an IP68 certification rating, while the Watch Style will feature an IP67 certification rating. The LG Watch Style offers a much-smaller 12.3-inch 360x 360 AMOLED circular display. It is powered by a 240 mAh battery and 512 MB of RAM. The sport version offers a more beefed-up power of 430 mAh battery and 768 MB of RAM.
When it comes to the design, each of the smartwatches owns its unique colored watchstrap, which can be easily removed and swapped out. The LG smartwatches will be launched at Mobile World Congress (MWC), which begins on Feb. 27 in Barcelona.
