Watch 12 Minutes Of Injustice 2 Gameplay

Black Canary was the latest hero to be announced for NetherRealm's Injustice 2, and 13 minutes of gameplay footage has just been leaked online showcasing the Green Arrow's former flame dishing out some serious punishment. The video also showcases some in-game locations as well as character-specific animations.

13 Minutes Of Black Canary

The video has Black Canary fighting other characters in the roster like Supergirl, Deadshot, Batman and The Blue Beetle. Aside from the highlight on Black Canary, the clip also showcases different locations in-game like Arkham Asylum, Atlantis, the Ace o' Clubs bar and a broken down theater (presumably in Gotham).

Canary also doesn't win all of the matches in the clip, so fans could also see the different highlight intros that characters will get whenever they win a match. The clash system is highlighted as well, and the animations for special moves for Black Canary and Batman are showcased in the game.

Like the new trend with NetherRealm games, characters also have different interaction dialogue depending on who they fight. It looks like another "Batman v Superman" type event will run the story, and Black Canary has taken the side opposing Superman.

New Character Reveal Incoming

Game Fragger reports that a new character is set to be revealed this coming Feb. 13 - right before Valentine's Day. It's still a mystery as to who this character will be, but fans can pick from a 21-character roster which includes Superman, Batman, Aquaman, The Flash, Blue Beetle, Wonder Woman, Harley Quinn, Gorilla Grodd, Atrocitus, Supergirl, Brainiac, Poison Ivy, Bane, Robin, Deadshot, Black Canary and Darkseid (Pre-Order Bonus).

Three different characters will also be introduced, but as special skins that include a different costume as well as voice and interaction dialogue. Those characters include Powergirl (Supergirl), John Stewart (Green Lantern), and Reverse-Flash (Flash).

The character roster seems to be missing a few fighters like the Joker and Nightwing. Ed Boon teases that this is probably the largest cast that they've ever had for a video game, so there might be a chance that they could arrive as DLC in the future.

Injustice 2 is set for a release this coming May 16.
