‘Westworld' Actress Thandie Newton Might Join Cast Of 'Han Solo' Movie

More updates have been revealed for the awaited new “Star Wars” movie mainly starring Han Solo. The cast of the said Han Solo movie is clearly expanding when it has just been reported that another actress is being offered a role. Thandie Newton of the “Westworld” series is currently in the talks of joining the cast.

Variety reported that the “Star Wars” spinoff movie are eyeing on actress Thandie Newton to join the production. Aside from Newton, Phoebe Waller-Bride from the British comedy series, “Fleabag” is also in the talks of joining the cast to portray the role of a droid. It has not been revealed though who exactly their possible roles will be the untitled Han Solo movie.

Newton has been making headlines especially after she went on to star on the popular breakout series “Westworld”. Newton plays the role of Maeve Millay, an intriguing and liberal character in the said HBO series. Aside from the series being good overall, Newton was also great acting out her role. In fact, she has been given several acting awards from various ceremonies.

If the two actresses do agree to join the Han Solo spinoff movie, they will be acting alongside Donald Glover, Woody Harrelson, and “Game of Thrones” star, Emilia Clarke. The Han Solo movie will star Alden Ehrenreich who will play the role of Han Solo. Clarke will be playing a main female character but that has yet to be elaborated.

It has been revealed that the untitled Han Solo spinoff movie will take place before “Star Wars Episode IV – A New Hope”, clearly following the footsteps of the recent “Star Wars” spinoff movie, “Rogue One”. The first installment of the “Star Wars” movie series is “A New Hope” and having to make a spinoff before the events of that movie mean it will be something creative. The Han Solo spinoff movie has been scheduled to make its premiere on May 25, 2018.
