Nioh Update: Here Are All The Upcoming DLC And Free Content

In light of its recent release, the developers have shared the details of the upcoming downloadable content (DLC) for Nioh. Aside from news maps, fans should expect some multiplayer features too.

According to GameSpot, Team Ninja has been working on some new things for their upcoming game. It is also worth noting that they are working on two different things: paid DLC and free content. Similarly, they shared the details of the upcoming features during a live stream in Japan.

Free Content Includes Highly Requested Feature

To begin with, players should expect the game to get much more difficult as a new set of high-difficulty missions will be launching in late March. In line with this, VG247 reports that there will even be a boss rush-type of mission. Following this, Team Ninja will then release the highly-anticipated player-versus-player (PVP) mode in late April.

Keep in mind that Team Ninja has yet to reveal the finer details of the said feature but they are aiming for something similar to Dark Souls. Game director Yosuke Hayashi previously stated that they want to cater to these types of fans specifically. This seems fitting enough since most players are also fans of the said series.

Team Ninja Shares More Details Around Nioh Packs

Moving on, the first paid DLC will also be arriving in the same month. The Dragon of Tohoku will include new scenarios, weapons, guardian spirits, yokai, characters and stages. This is only the first out of the three upcoming packs that are included in the $25 season pass.

Furthermore, the developers have also shared some minor details the two future packs. The second DLC is called Japan's Best Warrior while the third one is called Peaceful and Tranquil. Despite this, Team Ninja has yet to share any potential release dates for the two DLC as of now. Until then, fans can look forward to the upcoming content for Nioh.
