The car segment has been slowing down in the recent years, thanks to the increase in the demand of SUVs. However, this has not been able to stop Subaru from setting sales records. Apparently, the 2017 WRX STI has still been selling at great rate despite its 2018 refresh being just around the corner.

2017 Subaru WRX STI: Setting New Sales Record

According to Torque News, the sales for the 2017 WRX STi has gone up by 5.0 percent during the month of February. Accordingly, a total number of 2,498 units have been sold in the abovementioned month alone. In addition, the 2017 WRX STI has also been named as the best sports car in the segment. Given this fact, it is not considered to be a big surprise that the 2017 Subaru WRX STI continues to set sales records.

Another Good Month For Subaru's Lineup

It appears that the 2017 Subaru WRX STI is not the only model in the Japanese automaker's lineup that had a good run last month. According to a report, the Subaru Outback, Forester, Crosstrek and Impreza have also been doing great in terms of sales. The 2017 Subaru Impreza in particular has gained a 31.5 percent increase in sales compared to the sales it had in the same month last year.

Subaru Has Something To Be Proud Of

Given the fact that the Japanese automaker's lineup has been doing significantly well, Subaru certainly has something to be proud of. From the looks of it, Subaru is expecting for its success to continue down the road. "We are excited we could finish with the best February ever for the Outback, Forester, Crosstrek and WRX/WRX STI, as well as impressive growth for the newly-introduced 2017 Impreza," said Jeff Walters, senior vice president of sales for Subaru of America in a report. Walters also added that Subaru is anticipating continued success throughout the year given the strength its lineup has.
