'The Voice' Brings In Kelly Clarkson As New Coach; 'American Idol' Rumors Debunked

Rumors have been circulating for a while now that Kelly Clarkson will be joining “American Idol”. However, these rumors were debunked when NBC announced that Kelly Clarkson will be officially joining “The Voice”.

“The Voice” Reveals New Coach, Kelly Clarkson

NBC is clearly keen on bringing singers with powerful voices on “The Voice”. Just after the news broke out that Jennifer Hudson will be officially joining the said reality singing show, a new one has been revealed. The said network has announced just recently that Kelly Clarkson will also be joining Hudson as another new coach.

Both singers started their careers after garnering fame for a showcase of their unparalleled talent in “Americal Idol”. The news of Clarkson joining “The Voice” came as a surprise, debunking rumors that she will be joining the said ABC show. ABC had revealed that they will be reviving “American Idol” and there were speculations that Clarkson will be in it as one of the main judges. She appeared as a guest judge on “American Idol” in 2016.

Kelly Clarkson Admits That She’s Excited

Clarkson has been on the second season of “The Voice” back in 2012. She appeared as a guest mentor for Blake Shelton’s contestants and coming back to the said NBC show has made her more excited. Clarkson said that she had been going back and forth with NBC about her role in the show but the timing just wasn’t right until now.

Clarkson revealed that her participation in the early season of “The Voice” has given her the opportunity to establish a great relationship with NBC. She added that she has always loved working with the show and now she can’t wait to help and support the contestants. She admitted that she can’t wait to turn her chair and see the faces behind the voices of aspiring artists.
