Microsoft Works On Universal Windows Platform, Xbox Scorpio Is Star! Gears of War 4 At 4K Resolution Perfect For Console
Xbox Scorpio is the much awaited gaming console from Microsoft that is expected to come with a very impressive hardware. In fact, reports indicate that the upcoming device is likely to feature UWP games that will be compatible on Xbox One and Windows 10.
The Xbox Scorpio is reported to be powered with GPU, which is about 43 percent faster compared to the one used in PS4 Pro. The Microsoft console is also likely clocked at 6 teraflops, and may be launched to be VR-ready, although rumors claim that VR will not be the main focus of the new device. In fact, Microsoft executive Phil Spencer even confirmed that despite the appeal of the VR tech, this type of technology remains in the early stages. Moreover, the device is expected to have 4K support and hardware to become more powerful than the Sony console.
Meantime, previous reports indicate that Microsoft wanted to develop a single ecosystem that covers consoles, mobiles, Hololens and PCs. This technology is said to be named as the Universal Windows Platform, and along with the tech company's plan, Xbox Scorpio is believed to be the center of it. The Xbox Scorpio is set to hit the market in 2017 during the holiday season. However, specific details are expected to be released as well, when Microsoft finally decides to share information about the forthcoming console.
Meanwhile, Xbox Scorpio is expected to have the much anticipated shooter game Gears of War 4, which is designed to run at 4K resolution that the upcoming Microsoft console is capable of handling. Reports also reveal that the gaming device can run 4K Windows 10 Store Universal Windows games on its own without the use of additional ports. In addition, the updates are believed to be future-proof, based on what the Microsoft executive appeared to have discussed when he revealed that the 2-year console swap cycle will not happen in their turf. However, it is unclear yet if the Project Scorpio will be launched, although rumors suggest a 2017 release date. Watch Xbox - Project Scorpio
