Black Friday Deals 2016: Best Buy's $99 Google Home Offer
There will be plenty of offers this Black Friday 2016 and one of them is a good $30 savings on the Google Home smart speaker. The recently announced Google Home speaker will be a very good buy for those looking for an Amazon Echo alternative.
Google Home Smart Speaker Functions
The smart speaker from Google can do a lot of cool stuff and it looks good. The speaker uses Google Assistant to answer the users' queries and provide information. It uses the same software that Google uses on the Allo chat app. Because this is a speaker, users can also use it to play music, set reminders, alarms, timers and a lot more.
Google Home can even be paired with another speaker to get a surround sound effect when listening to music, as per The Verge. The speaker can also be synced with other products from Google, such as the Chromecast and Chromecast Audio.
Best Buy's Google Home Offer
The Google Home speaker normally retails for $129, but Best Buy will sell the device for $99 on Thanksgiving. Buyers who will purchase the device between Nov. 24 and Nov. 26 will also get six months of free subscription to YouTube Red or Google Play Music All Access.
According to PhoneArena, this is a very good deal, as the Amazon Echo is $179. Right now, these are the only smart home speakers available in the market that actually work and are smart. While the Amazon Echo uses a custom AI called Alexa, the Google Home speaker uses the Google Assistant.
Consumers looking to buy a smart home speaker should definitely give the Google Home a shot as it comes cheaper and is almost as good as the Amazon Echo's functionality. The offer is valid both online and in-store purchase. For now, the online Best Buy link for the Google Home offer is currently showing the price as $129, however that will change once the deal goes live at five PM ET on Nov. 24.
