Destiny's The Dawning - How To Get Nova Mortis
Nova Mortis is Thunderlord's Void variant. It can fire a sequence of shots which slows downs the enemies' movement. It has Infuse which boosts the weapon's attack value. Nova Mortis boasts a base attack rate of 360. It comes in pink, purple and gray variants.
To get the Nova Mortis Exotic, you need to accomplish The Abomination Heist strike. You will need Xur's Tag which you can get as the 7th reward in the Competitive Spirit book after completing activities related to the Sparrow Racing League and Vanguard Elite Strike scoring. Once you have Xur's Tag, proceed to the Tower. At the back of the Bounty board, you will notice a stack of gifts in boxes. Unwrap the huge gift in the middle of the stack to unlock the Tattered Schematic and quest line Songs from the Void.
The quest line will ask you to meet Ikora Ray, then Banshee-44. She will give you the quest to get achieve 100 kills from void abilities in any activities. Go back to Ikora Ray so she can give instruct you to finish off The Abomination Heist Strike. After completing the Strike, go back to Ikora Ray to get your Nova Mortis.
Destiny's The Dawning - How To Get Abaddon
Abaddon is Thunderlord's Solar version. It can also fire a sequence of shots with incendiary to set the enemy on fire. It boasts a base attack rate of 360 as well.
Once you have acquired the Nova Mortis, Commander Zavala will present to you the Hymns of Fire at the Tower to get you started with getting the Abaddon. According to some players' testimonies, Commander Zavala sometimes does not give the prompt over his head. Regardless, you need to proceed with the quest. Talk to Ikora Ray for your quest. Achieve 100 kills from solar abilities in any activities. Go back to Ikora Ray to give you instructions on the Shield Brothers Strike. Complete it and proceed to Commander Zavala to get your Abaddon.
The Nova Mortis and the Abaddon are variants to the well-loved Thunderlord machine guns. Both Exotics drop at 370 Light.
