Destiny Rise Of Iron Update: Get To Know New Weapons Abbadon And Nova Mortis Machine Guns

Bungie has been letting surprises after surprises for Destiny: Rise of Iron players in the past weeks. The British game developer has already announced The Dawning this month which will bring in the much-anticipated Sparrow Racing League (SRL). Apart from SRL, this new holiday event will also feature two new weapons-the Abbadon and the Nova Mortis.

During the PlayStation Experience event in Anaheim, California last week, IGN was able to pick up some exciting nitty-gritty in The Dawning. According to its latest report, Bungie is bringing over two new weapons called the Abbadon and the Nova Mortis which will be elemental alternates for the Thunderlord machine gun only with a few modifications.

Destiny Rise Of Iron - Abbadon Machine Gun

Abbadon is the solar version of Thunderlord. It boasts a series of hits with incendiary shots which will set your target enemy on fire. At level 40, it has an attack rate of 360 and inflicts solar damage against the enemies. In terms of design, it wears a silver pattern on top of the receiver and a titanium finish on the barrel and lower part. The ammo drum and the latch are painted copper.

Destiny Rise Of Iron - Nova Mortis Machine Gun

Nova Mortis, meanwhile, is the void version of the Thunderlord. It boasts a series of hits with negative rounds to slow down target's movement. Players can't entirely freeze the boss' movement so you need to empty an entire clip into the enemy. It also feature some slight tweaks in Infuse which enables the weapon to increase its attack value. The Accurized Ballistics is ideal for hard-hitting and high-impact projectiles only that the weapon's recoil increases.

Nova Mortis has three color variants-pink, purple and gray. In terms of design, this machine gun sports a gunmetal pattern with pink glowing curls on top and a purple ammo drum at the bottom. The bullet feed also features a purple finish. It has a high rate of fire and an attack rate of 360.

The Sparrow Racing League this year will commence on Dec. 13. Destiny: Rise of Iron is available on Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
