Elder Scrolls Online: Vvardenfell Next Map For MMO Game: What We Know So Far

Elder Scrolls Online is reportedly adding the Vvardenfell map. This was the findings of a data miner who posted his discovery in a social forum.

Vvardenfell Map Details

Reddit user FloorBelow submitted his data mined findings about the added Vvardenfell maps in Elder Scrolls Online. The user reportedly discovered plenty of map tilesets. The locations include the Dunmer Strongholds, Haalu and other various places that feature Morrowind architectures. The Imperial castle and towns though, feature different structural types since Morrowind is not yet part of the empire.

The Reddit user notices that Seyda Neen. It's a seaport village under the administrative control of the Halaalu House but guarded by the Imperial Legion. Citizens of the Empire usually use the village as a stopover in and out of Vvardenfell.

Some places in Vvardenfell seem to be off-limits for now like Red Mountain. The Northern Ashlands around Urshilaku and the Molag Amur seems passable though. The Reddit user is not sure but it seems Sheogorad is also impassable due to its massive rock wall.

Interestingly some of the places non-existent during the Morrowind expansion is included as well. A new Redoran town and a Hlaalu town are included in the map. The Rethan Manor is also there which is odd since it doesn't fit the Morrowind time line. The stronghold is located in the middle of Hlaalu territory.

Vvardenfell Map Size

Vvardenfell seems to be the largest terms of PvE zones, according to FloorBelow. ESO veterans always note that the paper maps are not as accurate as the development maps. Those who would like to verify the information themselves can get the uncompressed map version here.

Estimated Release Date

Elder Scrolls Online developer Zenimax Online Studios is expected to celebrate the 15th year anniversary of Morrowind on May. It's also possible that ZOS will release the upcoming Vvardenfell at that time to commemorate the event.
