The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild New Screenshot Includes a Strange Tree Stump

Nintendo has released a new "The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild" screenshot which features a strange tree stump. Meanwhile, the game might have already gone gold with the team already celebrating.

According to Siliconera, Nintendo has shared the latest screenshot of their upcoming Zelda game on Facebook. Here, Link is seemingly standing on what a cliff in front of a stump with a leaf mark. While nothing otherworldly or spectacular seems to be happening, there might be more to the stump than meets the eye.

Unfortunately, Nintendo did not share any details regarding this puzzling piece. Some may speculate that it looks like an area where an Amiibo might be of use. On the other hand, it might have some sort of allusions to the "Oracle of Seasons" installment. Either way, fans will have to play the full game in order to discover the stump's true purpose.

Game Goes Gold With the Team Celebrating?

However, the good news is that the game has finally gone gold, as per Forbes. An employer for Monolith Soft, Yasuyuki Honne, has supposedly tweeted the wrap-up party of the game. However, it is worth noting that Honne did not share which game the team was celebrating during the party. Although, judging by the release date for "Breath of the Wild," it seems likely the festivities are is in honor for the said title.

Similarly, the game has gotten another trailer called "Guard." This short video combines various old clips from the previous trailers but also shows off some of the environments of the game. Judging from this trailer alone, fans can tell that Nintendo put a lot of effort into creating a breathtaking atmosphere.

Fans will not have to wait much longer to play "Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild." Those who will be getting a Nintendo Switch upon launch can also buy the latest Zelda game with it. Both items will be officially available for purchase on Mar. 3, 2017.
