Tekken 7 Update: Pre-Order Case In Japan Might Leak The Full In-game Roster

Right after its stint in the arcade scenario, Tekken 7 will at last come for PS4 and Xbox One this coming June. The game's console version will be equipped with features that its arcade version will not have, such as new characters and a story mode. As fans are waiting for the game to come out, the pre-order event in Japan spilled a bit more info on the upcoming roster.

Fans on Reddit are saying that the game is supposed to have more than 30 characters, and there will be more additions through DLC. As what can be seen in the back portion of the pre-order case, it is as if this statement is indeed accurate. As a whole, it seems that the game is a well-deserved installment into the series. The addition of Akuma into the main canon is quite odd though.

Since players have to wait for Tekken 7 for a few months more, it is just easy to know why Bandai Namco is going crazy with their character reveals. They were able to reveal Tekken Revolution fighter Eliza as a pre-order bonus. They also mentioned that there will be more characters that will be coming, according to The Bit Bag. It is easier to assume now that more announcements will be made eventually, especially since they have not yet revealed the full roster.

Maybe some are wondering why they are not following the strategy that NetherRealms has done with Injustice 2. This is because the studio is trying to maintain that hype through its gradual character reveals in time for the game's launch on May. This might also be because players have already experienced most of Tekken 7's roster through its arcade version. Tekken 7 will be released in the US on June 2 for PS4 and Xbox One. If players pre-order the game now, they can get Eliza as a DLC character.
