Samsung Galaxy Note 2 For Just $49.99 On Sprint And $79.99 On Verizon

Even as tech gurus and fans alike are unable to contain their excitement for the launch of the impending Galaxy Note 3 from Samsung, the predecessor Galaxy Note 2 is still going great. Samsung's old warhorse is still among the popular smartphones around and now if you're in the U.S., you can grab the Galaxy Note 2 for under $80 from either Sprint or Verizon.

Carriers Sprint and Verizon are offering the Galaxy Note 2 for just $49.99 and $79.99, respectively, via e-retailer Amazon. So if you've been thinking of picking up the smartphone, now's a good time.

Verizon is offering the Galaxy Note 2 for $79.99; however, this offer is only valid for those looking to start a new account with Verizon or adding a new line to an existing family account. The deal is for a two-year contract with the carrier.

Alternately, if you're looking to upgrade an existing line then be prepared to shell out a few more bucks as the Galaxy Note 2 will set you back by $149.99. Considering, Verizon currently retails the Galaxy Note 2 for $199.99 on a two-year contract, you'll save $50 with this deal via Amazon.

If Verizon is not your cup of tea and you're still looking for a bargain, then perhaps the Sprint variant of the Galaxy Note 2 may be more up your alley. However, like Verizon, be ready to start a new account with the carrier and you'll have to dish out only $49.99 on a two-year contract. However, if you're an existing customer then adding a new line of service to your Sprint account will set you back by $149.99. Upgrading an existing phone to the Galaxy Note 2 on Sprint will cost you $99.

Both Sprint and Verizon are offering the Galaxy Note 2 in Marble White and Titanium Gray options. It is not known how long the offer will last, so get the deal via Amazon from either Sprint or Verizon while you can.
