Donald Glover To Work On FXX's Upcoming 'Deadpool' Animated Series

It has been revealed that multi-talented artist, Donald Glover is at present working on a new series. It was announced that he will spearhead the making of the upcoming animated series, “Deadpool”.

“Deadpool” Animated Series Confirmed

In February 2016, the “Deadpool” movie premiered in cinemas all over the world and fans could not get enough it. With a sequel to the film reportedly in the works, fans will be happy to find out that they will be seeing more of the talkative antihero. It has been revealed that an animated television series starring Deadpool will air on FXX and they have brought Donald Glover to produce it.

The highly anticipated “Deadpool” animated series has been slated to make its debut in 2018. FXX has already signed it up for 10 episodes and it will be the second Marvel series to be aired on FX after “Legion” premiered in February 2017. Donald, along with his brother Stephen Glover, will act as writers, show runners, and executive producers of the said Marvel series.

FX Productions Keen On Making New Shows

Donald Glover scored a huge deal with FX Productions in January 2017 wherein he was given the opportunity to develop new television series for the FX Networks. This agreement stretches out to other networks and streaming services as well. FX's president of original programming Nick Grad has praised Glover for being a versatile and talented individual that effortlessly shifts from being an actor to a writer.

Glover indeed had a great start this year and his streak continues as many of his upcoming works have been revealed. Aside from working on the “Deadpool” animated series, he will also be in “Spider-Man: Homecoming”, the awaited untitled Han Solo movie, and the live-action remake of “The Lion King”. On top of all these roles, he will continue to work on the “Atlanta” series with its second season set to air next year.
