Apple Beta Guide: How to Download and Install the iOS 16 Beta on Your iPhone

Apple has released the newest upgrade for their operating system at the recent Worldwide Developers Conference last June.

Apple packed numerous features with the iOS 16 upgrade, these includes an upgraded Messaging app, widget upgrades, new lockscreens, and many more.

When it was announced during this year's WWDC, the developers were the first ones to get a firsthand look and experience of the iOS 16 beta version in their iPhones.

Developers beta is not recommended for everyone in everyday use, not unless you are a developer testing out softwares. This is also under Apple Developer Program membership which is a paid subscription of $100 a year.

On the other hand, Apple has just now launched the public beta for iOS 16, which can be downloaded on your iPhone for no cost and in a matter of minutes. It is expected to be somewhat more reliable.

To download the iOS 16 beta, you will just need to sign up for it, install a configuration profile, and download the Apple Beta Software program

Even though this version is a public beta, iOS 16 is still in beta; it is best if you manage your expectations and be more patient since this might still have bugs on the system.

In order to download the public beta of iOS 16 on your iPhone, you first need to enroll in APple's Beta Software Program.

The Apple Beta Software Program is a service that enables users to test out unreleased software at no cost and submit input to Apple regarding its quality, usability, and any problems they may encounter.

Here's the recommended step by step guide by CNET to sign up for the Apple Beta Software Program:

1. Using your iPhone, navigate to the website for the Apple Beta Software Program.

How To Download and Install iOS 16

After your iPhone has finished restarting, navigate to Settings > General > Software Update, select Download and Install, and then input your passcode to start the process of updating to the iOS 16 beta.

If there are instances where the Download and Install button is not available to you, you might just need to wait for a few minutes as it can take time.
