The narcissistic, brutally honest, and dangerous spy, Sterling Malory Archer is back. The very first trailer was just released by FXX which goes by the title “Archer: cancelledDreamland” and it is very entertaining.
Last season, “Archer” proved to everybody that their number was not a fluke. Although they are not on the top 5 list of animated series, they have shown consistency with their viewership. There were multiple times when “Archer” was rumor canceled. But time and time again, the producers and creators of the show seem to have control of their destiny.
'Archer' Season 8 Plot And Release Date
The new season will take place in an old setting, specifically, 1947 Los Angeles. Its release date was already confirmed which is on April 5th this year. According to their official website, Sterling Archer is on a mission to hunt down the person responsible for killing his partner. It seems to be that the producers want to add more seriousness on their pilot episode. However, Archer Sterling doesn’t want to be part of it. As shown in the trailer, Sterling is again doing some questionable things which make the show hilarious.
He is tagged as a super-spy but he works like a newbie. The trailer also shows that Sterling Archer is somehow not updated with what is happening. While some of his colleagues are investigating on certain crimes, he is out somewhere else. There’s a part in the video were Sterling Archer was asked where he was last night, Archer answered: “ask your wife”.
'Archer' New Network
There’s a reason why this show is not for everybody. There are too much honesty and puns that are not suitable for young audiences. Also, this will be the first time that “Archer” will be shown on a different network. As stated last year, the move was to provide FXX a show that has a name already.
