LG has officially confirmed the launch of its upcoming flagship phone, G6, at the MWC event in Barcelona while Samsung is all set to announce the launch date and a video teaser of Galaxy S8 at the trade show next week. Perhaps, nothing can be kept secret for long, especially in the tech world.
Samsung Galaxy S8 And LG G6 Availability
According to a source, ET News has found out the dates when the Galaxy S8 and LG G6 will be going on sale. As soon after the G6's launch on Sunday, February 26, the 2017 flagship will go on sale from March 10. Fans will be able to book the smartphone from March 2. The report also added that the Galaxy S8 will be on sale internationally which means the global market as well as homeland South Korea on April 21. Furthermore, Samsung decided to have same dates for global launch of the Galaxy S8 to "have stable supplies." The new report acknowledges that Samsung has delayed the availability of the Galaxy S8 by a week, citing reasons such as the size of supplies and others. Pre-orders for the LG G6 will be taken starting on March 2. Samsung hasn't yet confirmed as to when they will be accepting pre-orders for the Galaxy S8. It is possible, though, by merely judging what it's done in the past, that could happen on April 13.
LG G6 Specs
LG G6 is set to feature a 5.6-inch 4K display. Powered by Snapdragon Qualcomm Octa-core 3.0 GHz processor, the device will run the latest Android nougat 7.0 and will have 64 or 128GB internal memory expandable to more than 128 GB. Under the hood is 4200 mAh battery life. Moreover, there will be two impressive 13MP sensors for wide-angle images.
Samsung Galaxy S8 Specs
Galaxy S8 is set to feature an AI assistant and with a curved QHD or 4K screen design, a 4200mAh battery, a confirmed 4GB of RAM and an iris scanner. Samsung might use Qualcomm's new Snapdragon 835 or Exynos 9. The latest Android nougat and 30-megapixel rear camera with optical image stabilization, dual-lens, paired with a 9-megapixel front-facing shooter are other thrilling specs expected of this smartphone.
