Google Pixel XL vs Sony Xperia XZ Premium: Comparison On Specs, Features And Price
The Google Pixel XL and Sony Xperia XZ Premium are two flagships with top class specs and features. Google's Pixel XL is the larger of the two first-generation Pixel devices launched by Google, while Sony's Xperia XZ Premium is the latest flagship smartphone from the Japanese tech major. Which of these two devices ship with premium hardware, and offer premium build quality?
The Google Pixel XL is designed, developed and marketed by Google, but manufactured by HTC. The Pixel XL has a 5.5-inch WQHD (2560 x 1440) AMOLED display, which has Corning Gorilla Glass 4 for protection. The device is powered by the Snapdragon 821 SoC and 4GB of DDR4 RAM with 32GB or 128GB of UFS 2.0 storage. The smartphone ships with a rear-facing fingerprint scanner and an NFC chip for compatibility with Android Pay.
The Google Pixel XL includes a rear-facing 12.3-megapixel sensor and on the front side, there is an 8-megapixel camera. Google Pixel XL originally comes with Android 7.1 Nougat onboard and it includes a non-removable 3,450mAh Li-ion battery with the fast-charging facility, as reported by Android Headlines.
On the other hand, Xperia XZ Premium also boasts of some truly impressive hardware including tremendous design. The device features an IPS LCD Triluminous display, which has a 4K pixel resolution (3840 x 2160) and is protected by Corning's Gorilla Glass 5. The smartphone is equipped with the Snapdragon 835 SoC, which comes with eight custom Kryo 280 cores, four of which are clocked at 2.45GHz while the other four run at a maximum frequency of 2.19GHz. There is also an Adreno 540 GPU and 4GB of RAM with 64GB of expandable onboard storage, as reported by NDTV.
The Xperia XZ Premium has a 19-megapixel rear camera and a 13-megapixel front facing the camera. The device has a non-removable 3,230mAh Li-ion battery with support for Qualcomm's Quick Charge 3.0. The flagship device from Sony comes with pre-installed Android 7.1 Nougat and is said to receive the Android O update going forward.
