T-Mobile Nokia Lumia 521 selling for $129.95 on HSN

Launched in April this year, the T-Mobile Nokia Lumia 521 has attracted many smartphone buyers on the lookout for a decent entry-level handset. The Lumia 521 has been sold out a few times at Home Shopping Network (HSN) and now the retailer has reduced the price of the handset to $129.95.

Microsoft's latest mobile operating system, Windows Phone 8 (WP8), has gained high popularity since its release in various handsets in Nov. 2012. However, not many smartphones which run on WP8 are available in the market. Currently, there are just a handful of smartphone makers, who manufacture WP8 smartphones and Nokia is one of them.

The Lumia 521, which is the T-Mobile version of Nokia Lumia 520, is one of the most affordable WP8 smartphones around. The handset packs in decent features and specifications in its category. Many customers who want an alternative to Android, iOS and BlackBerry may not want to take a risk and buy a top-end smartphone running on a new operating system. However, with the Lumia 521, smartphone customers can experience WP8 at a pocket-friendly price.

Previously, HSN was selling the Lumia 521 at a price tag of $149.95 and the handset was sold out on a number of occasions. Now HSN is offering the handset at a reduced price of $129.95, a move which may attract more customers to the handset. Walmart is also selling the Lumia 521 for $129.88 but the handset is currently out of stock.

T-Mobile is selling the Nokia Lumia 521 for $149.99 without any contract.
