AT&T offers 50 percent off on Samsung Galaxy S4, HTC One and more

If you are looking to buy a new smartphone from AT&T, then this could be the right time. The carrier is offering 50 percent off on select smartphones for a limited time, which includes the top-end Samsung Galaxy S4, HTC One and more.

To take advantage of the AT&T offer, you'll have to sign up for a new one-year or two-year contract with the carrier.

Here's how the promotion works: select the device you want, add it to the cart, and go through the normal motions of selecting your plan (or upgrading your line if you're already an AT&T customer). The 50 percent discount is applied to the phone in the cart just before you check out.

We tried to check if the promotion offer works on the 32GB version of the HTC One on a one-year contract and found that it does offer a 50 percent discount. Without the promotion offer, you'll end up paying $449.99 but now you can do with only $224.99. Moreover, the carrier has also waived off the one time activation fee.

Just like the HTC One, you can also get the 50 percent discount promotion on other handsets, like the recently launched Samsung Galaxy S4 Active, as well as the Galaxy S4. The carrier is currently selling both the Samsung handsets for $199.99 on a two-year contract. The discount is applied automatically to your order so you don't even have to do anything extra to avail the offer price.

AT&T has an array of smartphones on offer so you have the option to pick the best handset to suit your needs.

The 50 percent discount promotion and free activation is available only through June 30. So if you are looking to buy a new handset, then the ongoing AT&T deal is definitely worth a look.
