Capcom finally released the official trailer for "Street Fighter 6." Instead of the traditional ink brush style, the incoming game installment might feature a "realistic" look and gameplay animation.

Fans have waited for over six years for this exciting update. Finally, just after the Capcom Pro Tour concluded its fighting game exhibition, the company officially announced "Street Fighter 6."

Capcom Reveal: Where to Watch 'Street Fighter 6' Teaser Trailer

Capcom USA posted the teaser trailer for the latest installment of the "Street Fighter" series. The video description said, "Here comes a new street fighter. It's official: Street Fighter 6 is in development!"

Admittedly, the "Street Fighter 6" trailer is only 39 seconds long. With that said, it hardly teases anything concrete about the game in development.

'Street Fighter 5' vs 'Street Fighter 6:' Possible New Art Style

Since the reveal was too short, most fans were left to speculate on the bits of clues they could find. Game Informer pointed out a few interesting details that fans might have missed in the trailer.

First, the cinematic teaser showed both Ryu and Luke. It is worth emphasizing that Luke is the 45th and final character in "Street Fighter 5," so "Street Fighter 6" might be a direct continuation to the series storyline. Some players also noted that Ryu in the trailer looks a lot more mature, especially because he grew a beard.

Aside from the characters, the graphics seemed to have adopted a realistic look. The change is evident in the higher graphics quality, where each individual sweat drop and hair strand stands out on-screen. The level of detail is also seen in their arms, where blood vessels can distinctly be traced..

However, be warned that this teaser trailer is not a guarantee on the "Street Fighter 6" gameplay mechanics or graphics. This means the high quality details might be limited to game cinematics and cutscenes, but not the gameplay artstyle.

So it is still possible for "Street Fighter 6" to retain its ink brush style. Fans interested in the gameplay details are recommended to wait for further updates from Capcom directly.

'Street Fighter' Release Date, Countdown

Fortunately, the wait for "Street Fighter 6" updates might not be too long. Their official social media account just tweeted that there will be "more Street Fighter 6 news coming on Summer 2022."

Capcom did not elaborate on what this incoming news might be about. However, fans are hopeful the update might tease an official gameplay preview, a storyline progression, or even the game's release date.

For now, fans are recommended to sit still and wait. They are advised to bookmark the Capcom YouTube and Twitter pages so fans can receive real-time updates the moment they come out.
