Nokia Lumia 1020 appears in AT&T inventory in three color options

The Nokia Lumia 1020 just popped up in AT&T's internal product inventory, sporting three color options.

The listing adds further proof that Nokia will announce the smartphone on July 11 as an AT&T exclusive. The Nokia Lumia 1020 is only a few days away from becoming official, as the company has a press event scheduled for July 11 in New York City. The smartphone has been making rounds mostly due to its powerful, high-end camera. Nokia plans on launching its latest Windows Phone 8 handset with a whopping 41-megapixel PureView camera inside, in an effort to set itself apart from its smartphone rivals.

There have been recent rumors that the Lumia 1020 would replace the 920 as AT&T's flagship Windows Phone, and it appears those rumors were true. A tipster sent in the above screenshot to Windows Phone Central, confirming that the Lumia 1020 will be available exclusively from AT&T. The screenshot was taken from AT&T's internal inventory system and sent to the site. The image shows the carrier will offer the smartphone in three color options: yellow, white, and black.

The Nokia Lumia 1020 is expected to feature a 4.5-inch 768 x 1280 AMOLED ClearBlack Display, run Windows Phone 8 and include the Nokia Lumia Amber update. The smartphone will include 32GB of internal storage and will be the first Windows Phone smartphone to ship with 2GB of RAM. It will be powered by a 1.2GHz dual-core processor and include a 41-megapixel PureView camera with Carl Zeiss optics, autofocus, Xenon flash, and optical image stabilization (OIS) built in. The smartphone will also have a 4G LTE radio, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0 and NFC. The Lumia 1020 will also include wireless charging capabilities, but Nokia has decided to keep that optional by selling a separate wireless charging backplate.

The source also claims that AT&T employees have been testing the Lumia 1020. There was no indication of pricing or when the smartphone would be available to purchase from AT&T, but current rumors claim the handset will launch later this month. Nothing is official until Nokia itself announces the smartphone, most likely at its New York City press event on July 11.
