Pokémon Go To Borrow the New Social Features in Ingress

According to a report by Game Spot, Niantic has been testing social features in Ingress, its other augmented reality, GPS-powered game, that allow players to communicate directly inside the app rather than coordinating outside of it, and it is now ready to offer those functionalities to Pokémon Go.

Niantic stated that Pokémon Go's s features will differ from Ingress's but that it is working on features that will allow trainers to connect with their friends in-game and with other trainers in the real world. An example is real-time geo-coordination.

It is unclear precisely what the features borrowed from Ingress will be and how they will be adapted to Pokémon Go, but Niantic says the functions will be available in Pokémon Go within the next several months.

Despite its popularity and large player pool, Pokémon Go has made little attempt to connect people within the game beyond the platform's limited friend list functions, for often understandable security reasons. Introducing social aspects similar to those seen in Ingress has the potential to change and, hopefully, improve the game.

Remote Raid Passes Will Be Removed From the Weekly One-PokéCoin Event Boxes

Polygon reported that starting on May 23, Pokémon Go players will have lower chances to participate in the game's Raids remotely. Niantic revealed Thursday that it will discontinue the weekly release of cheap Remote Raid Passes that had been included in one-PokéCoin packs for the past two years, when the company implemented the new gameplay feature to adapt Pokémon Go to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

To be more specific, Niantic said that the Remote Raid Passes would no longer be included in weekly one-PokéCoin Event Boxes in Pokémon Go's in-game shop. Instead, that low-cost weekly box will have "a rotating array of items."

Remote Raid Passes are still available from the shop, but they cost 100 PokéCoins for a single pass and 250 coins for a three-pack. Players can earn up to 50 coins per day by holding Gyms for free, or they can pay real-world money for coin bundles.

Pokémon Go and Amazon Prime Gaming To Provide Thrilling Benefits to Amazon Prime Members

As an Amazon Prime member, you can now receive Pokémon Go in-game items every two weeks throughout the summer. Prime Gaming has partnered with Niantic to provide free stuff to Pokémon enthusiasts in the next weeks and months.

Slash Gear said that the bundles will be distributed beginning on May 19 and will last through the summer, though an end date has not yet been announced. All of the products appear to be quite useful, including Poké Balls, Revives, and other stuff that comes in handy when you're out and about seeking new pocket monsters to add to your collection. Given that Pokémon Go is free (except for purchasing new balls and other essential stuff normally), it's a good idea to take advantage of these packages.
