Why Is It Important To Update Your Phone's Software?

Before we give the list of Samsung phone models which will receive an Android 13 update, let us first discuss the importance of getting the newest Android OS for your devices.

According to CNET, security is one of the many reasons why software upgrades are so important. Bug fixes and security patches are common in updates, so it's a good idea to install them as soon as they're available. Samsung will provide five years of security updates and four years of Android OS upgrades for Galaxy S21 and later models. Periodic security updates are also issued by the company for older devices, including those that are no longer upgradeable to new Android versions.

Android OS updates are also vital because they provide your phone with new features and functionalities. Updates to Google Wallet and end-to-end encryption for group chats will be included in Android 13, which will be released this fall.

Samsung also adds its own interface to Google's Android software, known as One UI, and phones that are eligible for Android operating system upgrades usually get the most recent version, CNET reported.

Those who wish to test the software right now can do so with Android 13's beta version.
