New MacBook Air 2022 Shipments Likely to Go as High as 7 Million: Apple Analyst

New MacBook Air 2022 shipments are likely going as high as a staggering 7 million units, well-known Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo himself predicts.

Early reports expect Apple to showcase its newest take on its MacBook Air during its upcoming WWDC 2022 keynote event on Monday, June 6.

As per a news report by Apple Insider, the TF Securities analyst, Kuo, known for his reliable insights on anything about the iPhone maker, gave us MacBook Air shipment predictions for the second half of the year.

The latest comments of the well-known Cupertino tech giant analyst saw the light of day shortly before the WWDC 2022 debuts the all-new MacBook offering.

The Cupertino-based tech giant is reportedly unveiling a refreshed MacBook Air for the upcoming keynote event. As such, Apple fans could not help but wonder what the new iteration of the Air excitingly offers.

But thanks to earlier predictions from folks like Kuo and the Bloomberg journalist Mark Gurman, among other sources, we are getting a glimpse of what to expect from the 2022 MacBook Air.

Recently, or on June 3 to be more exact, Gurman of Bloomberg claims that the all-new Air is more likely flaunting conservative color options rather than sporting the same rainbow options as the iMac.

It dispels earlier rumors, saying that Apple plans to offer vibrant color options for the new MacBook Air, which Gurman dubs a mere "exaggeration." Instead, the Bloomberg journalist suggests it is getting a blue option -- similar to what the iMac lineup showcases.

Kuo echoes that the next-gen MacBook Air is potentially getting the same "three standard color options," such as gold, space gray, and silver - "plus one new color."

While the Apple analyst did not mention what the new additional color could likely be, he made this prediction in response to the tweet of Gurman, which attached a blue iMac image.

MacBook Air 2022 Shipments

Apart from the color prediction of Kuo, the analyst also provided a shipment forecast for the upcoming MacBook.

According to a recent report by 9to5Mac, Kuo was generous enough to give us a shipment forecast for the all-new Apple product.

The Apple analyst suggests that the shipments of the new MacBook Air could roughly be around 6 million to 7 million units in the second quarter of 2022.

Kuo adds that this shipment forecast could potentially be a reality only if the capacity of the Shanghai facility of Quanta goes back to its pre-lockdown performance as soon as possible.
