"I Am Groot" on Disney Plus now has its confirmed release date and first-ever poster. The animated series hits the giant streaming service slightly ahead of another upcoming Marvel Series, "She-Hulk."
Marvel Studios' next animated series, "I Am Groot" is a massive push for the upcoming "Guardians of the Galaxy" movie, which hits the big screen several months from now.

Before we get to see the peculiar group of the Guardians of the Galaxy in theaters on July 8, 2022, for its Vol. 3, the Baby Groot is heading on its own to Disney Plus.
'I Am Groot' Animated Series on Disney Plus
As per a news story by IGN, Disney has officially confirmed that "I Am Groot" is debuting on its streaming service this August.
The formal reveal comes with the first-ever poster for the upcoming animated series of the titular hero, Baby Groot.
IGN notes that the upcoming show, "I Am Groot," looks to focus on the childhood of Baby Groot.

Marvel teases that original shorts on Disney Plus center on the "glory days growing up, and getting into trouble among the stars."

Besides the description of the new animated series, Marvel Studios also gave us the first look at the poster of "I Am Groot."
The poster shows a younger version of Groot seemingly relaxing while listening to his favorite tunes on his headset. What's interesting was that his head was leaning on the Walkman of none other than Peter Quill.
It also gives us a summer vibe. Thanks to the palm tree air freshener. Not to mention that he is wearing blacked-out specs while chilling atop a sandy surface like his vacationing on a beach destination.
But instead of the bright sun rays during the summer heat, the mischievous Guardians character is basking under the warm light of a reading lamp. So, we now get an idea of his size during his youthful days.

'I Am Groot' on Disney Release Date
The poster of "I Am Groot" officially gives us its release date on Disney Plus as well.
According to the latest report by The Verge, the solo show of Baby Groot debuts on Disney Plus on Aug. 10.
The new Marvel animated series comes seven days ahead of the debut of "She-Hulk: Attorney at Law," which hits Disney Plus on Aug. 17.
The Verge additionally highlights that the "I Am Groot" animated series on Disney Plus is the first-ever spinoff of the "Guardians of the Galaxy." It is scheduled to be followed by "Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special" on Disney Plus before the year ends.
